    <description>&lt;P&gt;Driving a bus does have some side effects such as having to work nights and weekends.&amp;nbsp; But anyone who gets that job is really doing a great service for tourists.&amp;nbsp; And it is the driving source in keeping our hotels, retail shops, restaurants, and hospitals open.&amp;nbsp; The bus driver has the authority to make passengers behave and can put troublemakers off of his or her bus.&amp;nbsp; And here is another perk.&amp;nbsp; Metro's new electric buses are very quiet!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Metro has four bus garages.&amp;nbsp; One in Brentwood just north of Marshall Avenue just outside Webster Groves.&amp;nbsp; Another is at DeBalivere and Delmar.&amp;nbsp; There is a 3rd one in St. Clair County, Illinois and the main one is at the corner of Compton and Spruce Streets.&amp;nbsp; Most of the bus routes that serve the areas that are home to many veterans are in South St. Louis County and they operate out of the Brentwood Garage.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The more bus driver job vacancies we fill, the sooner we will reopen bus routes.&amp;nbsp; Most of the routes that were closed were in South County.&amp;nbsp; In a way, driving a bus is a good way to show support for our troops and our veterans!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.metrostlouis.org/careers/" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.metrostlouis.org/careers/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
