Hi Nicole,

Thank you for responding. Everything sounded like it will be ok. So I contacted the Jamaica office and they told me that the new state office now has jurisdiction over my case and can request that it be transferred to their office. I called my local office and told them what the Jamaica office said and they confirmed that there was a letter from me stating that I had changed my address and wanted to withdraw my application for benefits on file. They said further that they were sending an email to the Jamaica office to request that they transfer my case to the local office where I am. They also said that as they have my request to cancel my application, that as soon as they received my case, they would cancel my application and my once-in-a-lifetime right to withdraw my application would not be used as I would not have received any benefits yet, thus I would be able to use this again if I needed to. Oh, by the way, the local office here only accepts phone calls unless they schedule an appointment with you, so visiting them wouldn't have been possible. I had been so worried about this though that I made all those calls just before you responded. Thank you for responding though!
