topic Expired link! in Redemption

Wanting to place an order at Walgreens with a gift card I received 2 weeks ago, I realized that the gift card has become inaccessible.

"This link has expired — but your gift card is safe"

Great! I checked my other gift cards and, except for the one received on January 30th and and he one received on February 1st, they all show the same message and they are all inaccessible.

This is ridiculous!

I will call tomorrow to get them resent but it is quite a burden to have gift cards inaccessible just after their purchase. My understanding was that the links would expire only after 18 months not 14 days or less.

I had the same issue today and had to call to get 4 cards resent. I had cards from early January that "expired" also.

Whenever I order a card (points only) I take a screenshot of it. That way I have the number and pin to use if that link expires. I suggest doing that everytime.

I normally print the card out, this last time just let email sit for a bit, that’s when link expired, so yes doing a print or screenshot.

This issue was not specific to AARP. I experienced similar problems with links across several other programs as well. It appears to have been a broader, system‑wide issue impacting multiple businesses, and there are several articles online discussing it.
