Instant Win games have always been $10 Rewards, however, the number of winners have been increased. Despite the increased number of winners, it is still difficult to win. I would much prefer more $10 Redemption Reward opportunities than trying to win an Instant Win game as it would guarantee that I would be able to get a $10 Reward of my choosing.

I agree the Instant Wins are difficult to win. But there is also no guarantee about getting the redemptions. Back when they offered the $10 redemptions, I usually missed out on them, because they didn't have very many of them and when they did offer them, it was early in the morning, so they were sold out before I even saw them. That still happens now, with the popular $5 ones like Amazon and Walmart, but at least there are quite a few other ones that I can choose from. Now if they offered as many $10 gift cards as they do $5 gift cards, that would be great.

I remember when $25 gift cards were available for redemption at the start of this Rewards Program, but have become a thing of the past. Does this mean that the $10 gift cards for redemption has been phased out also?

Although there were no guarantee of redeeming points for the more popular $10 gift cards, I had a better of chance receiving a $10 gift card through point redemptions than winning a $10 Instant Win gift card. We are still limited to only 3 redemptions per month, so perhaps AARP should allow members to have 5 redemptions per month since the gift card values have been reduced to half.

There used to be $50 and $25 and you could get 5 gift cards instead of 3 and you could get 3 of the same type of gift card. Sometimes there was a walmart gift card for $25, you could get $75 to Walmart.

Those were the good old days.

Sure looks like. Do they realize how embarrassing it is to try to use 10 $5 gift cards at ANY business? The employee has to enter each 15 digit code AND 4 digit pin for each card! I apologized to the server at Applebee's as it probably took them 10 minutes just to enter the 10 $5 gift cards! Maybe that's why AARP is offering these... Because they know that many people will never use them because of the EMBARRASSMENT factor 😞

My wife and I each have independent memberships and not so long ago, AARP was offering $100 hotel gift cards. Now it's just a collection of misfit $5 toys, most of which are companies in bankruptcy, offering gift cards worth pennies on the dollar. We are probably canceling at least one account, because this is just stupid.

Do the lobbyists that AARP funds cost that much money?
