I liked everything that they said, especially accepting who you are!

Hydration, proper diet, and exercise, are all good for any age and any body type, and lots of body lotion if you have dry skin.

When I was a teenager, I read the beauty column in the newspaper by Arlene Dahl (anyone else remember her?). I thought that she was just fabulous and so glamorous.

This was her basic routine for skin care -

In the morning, cleanse the face with a facial cleanser, not soap. Then use a toner followed by moisturizer (with sunscreen nowadays), apply makeup.
In the evening, remove all makeup and wash face (facial cleansers), apply toner followed by night cream. Never go to bed with your makeup on!
Buy products designed for your skin type (dry, oily, combination). Products do not have to be expensive to work, but do look for quality. We have a lot more options today than when she was writing. We can even by humane products not tested on animals. Some of the big companies are even rolling out humane and planet friendly products. Happy shopping!

My favorite beauty advice that I never get tired of hearing is to always take care of your skin. Whether it's using a daily moisturizer, exfoliating regularly, or using sunscreen, taking care of your skin is always important. I also believe that eating a healthy diet, drinking enough water, and getting enough sleep can also help keep your skin looking great.
