What to Post (and Not) on Social Media When You’re Grieving.

How much is too much to share when you’re dealing with loss or comforting a friend?

The 65-year-old artist from Charlottesville, Virginia, did what many do when grieving a loss. She turned to social media to share thoughts and feelings that are difficult, raw, and complicated.

“Without social media to air my grief,” says DeVito, who was married to her husband, Damon, for 28 years, “I think I would’ve been a lot more isolated."

Personally, as I AGE - I have "pushed" away from Social Media participation.

This AARP Grief & Loss Forum is the only ONLINE I am doing.

I think people should post THEIR WAY as they KNOW their "audience" and what needs to be shared.

This audience may be family only or mixed with friends and so on.

I hear ya Nicole. I've never really gotten into it. I've been grateful for this grief forum. And meeting you wonderful people. Sharing in your struggles and being inspired by your growth. And willingness to help those who stop in at the forum. Thank you to all of you. And wonderful Nicole.

I haven't stopped in here for a while. Due to fatigue from house and car things. But I remember you all in prayer. There will be new things! Take care
