Have GE profile front load washer barley 6 months out of the factory warranty sounds like a jet engine during the spin cycle, a known issue with these machines. GE refuses to repair. Local company found bad inverter board, bearings and sensor w/i the motor. Repair will be over $700. I've filed c/o with BBB and will be writing to the CEO, Kevin Nolen. AARP will not help. Any suggestions?

Get a repair person or buy a new one. When you get a new one get the simplest on you can find. No digital stuff.

The machines that have all the bells and whistles are not made to last. Had a repair person tell me this. On my 3rd washer and dryer in 20 years. And this last pair are not digital. Don’t try getting any resolve from BBB or CEO, waste of time in my opinion. You need a machine.

Repair or replace with a simple one and you’re good to go.

Agree with SereneSeagull, go simple. Anything digital involves a circuit board which will fail due to moisture over time. Heat, cold, condensation all electronics killers. Those manufacturers are pretty crafty, cheaply built appliances with perpetual part costs. Our GE dryer heating element was wired incorrectly from factory and the belt would slide off. Never buying a GE again. Just need simple knobs. no extra features, just something to simply wash and dry clothes.

Find the parts you need online and watch some YouTube videos and repair yourself. With online videos, we have found the confidence to fix a lot of things ourselves. Good luck.

My GE Microwave Airfry Combo had the Magnatron go out at 14 months (2 months out of warranty). Very light use in that period, warming coffee 4-5 times a week, a few reheats a week.

My Prior Sharp lasted 26 years & the door mechanism failed... still cooked. My GE before that lasted 15 years.

GE will not do anything in good faith.

Hi Tempest, I’ve had repair people say that combo anything tends to have more repairs! He said they get called out for more stuff do to this. like washers/dryers. Usually due to a circuit board problem, and because it controls the entire system, these combo appliances are more trouble than they are worth. Not sure if that would be the same for your microwave/ air fryer or not.

Repair person told me in all honesty to buy the most simplest of washing machine and dryers. He laughed and said the new stuff isn’t made to last like they used to, literally! He said it keeps him in business, but told me to not go for digital anything if I could still find them without. The appliance companies, he said, make them to last a short while so people end up replacing them quicker. This is from a person who repairs them professionally.

edit to add that I hope you can get help for it. GE used to be great decades ago
