July 2026 lost points due to unklnown reason

On July 31st, I went to redeem my last points for July 2026 only to find they had vanished.

Then I received a notice that those 7,100 "vanished" points miraculously reappeared today 08/04/2026 only to be taken away from me again with a message of "Most Recent Activity -5,230 PTS Expired points: Unused points earned in July 2025.

What's going on? I just lost over a day of earned points because of I presume a system issue. I could see these points on 07/30/26 - then they vanished on 07/31/26 - reappeared and vanished again on 08/04/26.

The below notice was not on my account for three days.

8/1/2026 Expired points: Unused points earned in July 2025 -7100

I'd like an explanation please. It's frustrating to earn these points only to have them randomly taken away from you.

You "may" want to CALL the AARP "Rewards" Customer Service. They are "different" from the AARP Customer Service.

Their number is (866)451-6305. OPEN weekdays 8am ET to 8pm ET.

The AARP AI runs the 1st part of the CHAT session(s). Then IF you get lucky, it will transfer you to a HUMAN.
