Electronic tech (by accident) since 1968 for Hewlett Packard, Xerox, and Exxon Chemical Americas. Laid off from Exxon in '99 and went pack to school to become a teacher for 6 years in private school. entex ias and they havn't required house numbers on residences in forever and so haning a land line doesn't help a whole lot in these older neighborhoods with no numbers.

I too was reluctant to give up a landline but like you giving all that money to ATT or SWBell was a real drag.  My two 30 year old kids had been using cell phones only for a long time so I tried it 6 years ago and have not had any single regret.  Plu...
