Until December of 2014, I'd lived in Denver, Colorado. After 10 years in the Marine Corps I settled into civilian life fairly well. In 2012, I retired from The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver, Co. after being a Ward clerk for 21 years. In early 2015 I moved here to Irwin in a mobile home park. Unfortunately, I know little of the surrounding area and only a very few people I can call friends. Don't go out much, don't have transportation. So far I only take a cab to shopping and the barber. Kind of lonely, especially with nothing in the way of a social life. My 15 year old grand niece comes over to chat and get my mail for me. Wow, things are really spaced far apart as far as stores, and services. Haven't used the bus service from the county as yet, gotta do that to go to the local VA. I must post more later if I can.
