I am a retired elementary educator and librarian. I look out for my VietNam veteran ex husband who has serious illnesses and uses denial (named after a river in Egypt LOL) approach to dealing with them. You know what I mean, ladies! We retired to Phoenix from LA and just love it here! I do water aerobics, thrift shops and Home Depot while I decide whether to work part time or volunteer.

You are very courageous!   She really has to have a specialist, a neurologist ,I imagine, is the appropriate doctor for dementia.  Please, please dont let an internist or other generalist (I would be very wary of a gerontologist for this also) prescr...

can confusion come from heart problems--bad circulation?

My husband has ischemic (bad blood vessels) cardiomyopathy (heart doesnt pump at full strngth).  If he doesnt take his walk every day, he sometimes shows serious confusion.  I think this is because of his poor circulation.  We had him get an MRI from...

My husband has serious health problems (serious heart problems and moderate vision problems from diabetes, plus wont wear his hearing aides.  I have saved his life many times.  I do not hover and micromanage, tho I am the only one who prefers to stop...
