@AARPConsumerCare Thank you for the clarification. That is what I assumed, initially.My point was that 50,000 points are a lot of points for the small additional discount of $13.50. (A reply to jd5928561.)

@AARPConsumerCare $83 is 60% off of the retail price of $129. The website is selling the earrings for $69.50 (50% off). I sincerely doubt they would give another $83 off. That would mean that the earrings are free and they would credit me $13.50. ...

If you are a member of the rewards program, you can purchase discounted gift cards. I purchase a few each month and can honestly say that one month’s savings pays for a year’s membership. I also have redeemed my ‘earned’ rewards points for gift car...
