I did a lot of selling to the Department Of Defense, however, The Department Of Defense cancel my 5000,000 Contract three years ago, because the GSA & DOD was selling the same items, that sent me to la-la land and my slaes dorp 99%. I worked k as a Contract Specialist for 35yrs, I know the FAR, UP & Downed.

I still sell PC&MAC Mall Products to the Fed's Local States Government. Also I am completing my GSA IT Contract it's kicking my but, however it" a lot of work, but In the furture I will  put my website on FacBook

In response to "Re: Always wanted to be your own boss? 5 Businesses That May Appeal to You":
I've been self employed for over 25 years. I went from a large retail store to just working out of my home. I have a website and I sell alot to the Government. Almost all of my suppliers will ship right to my customers for me so I don't have to handle the products.  It's been a good business. We're able to take trips. We were able to move to be closer to the grandkids and kids.

Could you give me some ideas to star up a small business or go self employed? Based on your experience would be wonderful.. I will be laid off in one month and I don't want to work for anybody else anymore, I want my own business
Thanks so much

Yes!  I did always want to be my own boss. After working as an RN for 23 years, I wanted to be able to
set my own hours, take vacation when I wanted to, and mostly be my own boss.  I have done that now, and although I
work just as hard as I did in the medical field, working hard for yourself is very different, and much more fulfilling.
I no longer have that Sunday dismay of having to get through another week. Now I love what I do, I'm good at
what I do, and I love the mixture of being home and working. Plus I can take my business with me wherever I go, I only need my cell and my laptop. Don't listen to people that say it's too late. At 55, I have re-created my career in the manner
I want it to be.
