Signing this petition could help get those over 50 back to work

Places like Oakville, Missouri has a lot of people over the age of 50.  Metro operates a paratransit service called Call-a-Ride.  When the service started in 1987, it served mainly west St. Louis County,  And then after it became very popular, service expanded to both north St. Louis County and South St. Louis County.  Just recently, there was a new rule that to where patrons can only use Call-a-Ride if it is within 3/4 of a mile of a LOCAL bus route.  And what that did, it gave the major corporations the tool they needed to make it hard for people over the age of 50 to stay employed or to get back to work.  It was one thing big corporations wanted so that they can easily turn away older workers.  Now, if we sign this petition, this would break the big corporate management's heart but it would serve them right.  Signing this petition could be a good way to make it a little harder for people to turn older workers away.

I am glad that this is starting to take shape.  To this date, now there are four supporters.  Let's keep it up!  For those who has signed, I thank you.  For those who haven't what this does is to teach the big Fortune 500 companies a thing or two when it comes to hiring.  So if we want to spill the beans on those who want only young workers, signing and sharing this is a good way to do it.  We need to make our voices loud and clear that we need to have Call-a-Ride serve EVERYBODY including those who are over the age of 50.  If we all sign this, and share this, maybe Metro will get the message that we want them to make sure that people can use this without having to pay a taxi type fare.  This petition will be telling Metro that we want only to charge no more than $2.00 for those who use the system ALL over St. Louis County, including Oakville and Eureka!

To date, the petition about redesigning the ADA zones and/or putting a fare cap on the entire system now has 5 signatures.  But if we really want to show support for those who are over the age of 50, lets get some more signatures.  Signing this petition would be like saying we want people over the age of 50 to work at Kaldi's Coffee House, and it would make some of the branches of Waterway carwash have a few 75-year-old grey-haired fellows working at these carwashes.  Signing this petition would be the best job yet.  So if we want the places of employment to be slapped with no choice but to hire those over the age of 50, lets sign and share this petition.
