I suggest you visit the Social Security Web Site  and if you haven't already, create an account. Check out the FAQs and see if you find an answer to your questions.

If you don't find your answer there check with the nearest Social Security Office.

Social Security Disability and converting at 65 to regular SS

Message 3 of 3 (580 Views)

I could use some guidance.

I am 64 years of age and receiving Social Security Disabilty payments.  The payments convert to regular Social Security at 65 years of age.

I am also retired from the military.    Before I turn 65 how do I find a SS person to help me with some questions in the Sacramento CA area?

How do I check to ensure my military wages were correctly tabulated when I began receiving SSD in 2004?

Can I delay the change to regular SS at 65 to age 67 or 68 to increase my award?

I currently receive Medicare A&B.

Thanks for any help
