Hi Amy

This has been a bad concert year for me and the economy is showing it's affect on everyone's ticket sales.. so it's not just us.  Like Janese said in one of her posts,  when people are really watching their dollars they are being picky about who they go and see and the newer acts have it tougher sometimes.  Cleveland gets alot of newer acts through the HOB but their venue is mostly stand up and I am getting kinda past the days of wantiing to do that  LOL

What's sad is that "new" to me is usually something that's been around for quite a while. *Sigh* I'm always the last to know! I don't go to live shows as much as I used to, and that's the best way to stay exposed to new influences, in my opinion. For now, I'll settle for recommendations from iTunes. 🙂

"Cure for This" by Golden Smog. Love this group - a hodgepodge of artists from Wilco, Soul Asylum and the Jayhawks. If you like alt rock/alt country, check 'em out.

Great album!  Great singer!  Fortunate enough to see him in concert recently.  After the show we waited outside and he walked right past us and got into a car where they handed him his pizza.  Considering all he's been through I thought he did a great job.  Very enjoyable concert.

Well I can definately understand that.  There were lots of concerts here this year that I would have loved to see but I had to be responsible and deal with some big unexpected expenses... not happily  LOL

Boy I was a hold out for a long time.. on the Raising Sand.  I am just such a huge Zeppelin fan..  and I just didn't want to see Robert doing country...  I know, kind of crazy but it makes sense to me  LOL but I have listened to it and she does have a beautiful voice and I do like the album overall..  my favorite songs are  Killing the Blues  and Trampled Rose.  What about you?

We used to have lots more conversation here like all of the groups.  I hope to see that again. Meanwhile jump in whenever you would like.
