Crosby, Stills & Nash Find The Cost of Freedom
Glad you brought this up. A lot of people say that freedom is not free. But, a lot of confusion exists with this topic, always staying in the abstract. Scientists have no problem understanding and living, with one of the first laws of physics: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. But, it seems like people in general have a problem understanding and living with the concept of: For every benefit, there is a cost. To get out of the abstract, and into the specific, the questions of who's freedom and who's cost, must be answered. I think it's wrong to rob Peter to pay Paul. It's also wrong to attribute the benefit(s)/cost(s) to the wrong person(s)/entity(s). Until we are able to attach the proper benefit(s)/cost(s) to the right person(s)/entity(s), we will never get it right.

@dl73698250 Right: we must all realize the benefits as well as personal costs of our freedom, and the freedoms of others. 🙂
Democracy ain't for the faint of heart. Neither is it for the selfish. (We are in such trouble. )
