How about you?

I know *I* sure agree.  Music has always been a big part of my life and I've been fortunate to see perhaps a couple of  hundred  shows with A-list bands in my life (as well as several dozen more shows of local and regional acts).

Music, live or recorded, has always had a positive effect on me, and I have to say that every week, standing in a small room all by myself between 1 and 4am are often the best three hours of my week.  Even the requests on the phone are for  great tracks.

Boy  I would say you have been more than fortunate !!  So how did you end up in that small room?

Thank you all for the nice kudo's and complments

about my music stories.

I like to share a concert that I went with a friend to

see up in Buffalo NY about 5 years ago.   This was the

   'DIVINE MS. M".....................

Bette Midler put on such a show,  You would have to

know about her beginnings and her humor to really

understand her when she is not singing.  I will tell people

that if you are embarssed easy, be prepared. If you

remember when she did a comedy act dressed in a

mermaid outfit getting around in a wheel chair. ( She

has no legs, so she decided on that type of wheels)

Her stage name for that act was Delores De Lago

And her 3 girls are all in the same mermaid outfits.

And the same type of "hot" wheels..

She actually had a two part show.  WOW,  That doesn,t

happen often.  I remember when she was in an evening

gown, laying on the floor, and telling political jokes.

What a diva...Can you see Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand,

Cher, Celine Dion, or any other  "diva" doing her act.

Not happening in my life time. Her singing is just awesome.

Her stage presence is a Wow Factor.  And she is a great

humanitarian.  That's a real plus in my book..

Really------------Who else could live up to the name

THE DIVINE MS.M

Thanks for letting me share this with you,  That makes my

night when I'm able to relive my memories and share them

with my online friends..

If any one else has been to a concert, please let me know

and I can say wow, I missed that show. (maybe a little jealous

on my part)--(that's a good thing)..Someone once said

sharing is caring..........

PEACE

I would like to see Maroon 5 although it would be hard to hear over all the young girls and those not so young screaming.

Maybe the Stones when they come through again.  Who knows.  But if I never saw another concert I have lots of memories 😀

I LOVE THIS,,,,,,,

 Another subject to post to..................

==========================================

1-  Knowing when you favorite band plays that song.

If it hasn't struck you yet by my many post,  Tommy

James is still my top performer.  I seen him twice,

and go to shake his hand once.  I agree that concerts

brings a little something into your life.  I'm glad that

study says going to concerts make you happy.

2- I can relate to that I'm not into big crowds and crowded

parkling lots, that take a lot of time to get out.  There

are quiet times that I listen to music.  Reading all the

post make's me go on to  YouTube and listen again.

But,  I do head out to some concert's if they are in my

town.   Music should always be important to everyone,

    that I agree with.

3- I couldn't play music where I worked.   BUT    We did

have  "Muzak"  system... Most cases the music was

OK..  You learn to adjust your music taste alot.   (lol)

4- And speaking of lyrics in the head and memorizing

songs.  A lot of my co-workers would find me and say

Who are we listening to.  Well not to just name the

artist.  But give them the title, maybe some lyrics,

and the year. And if I really think, maybe the record

label.  I wonder where is all this  'stuff'  stored at ???

I have to say that reading everyones post about their

favorite songs, artists that we give tribute to that has

left a music void in our hearts, and just being able to

smile when there is a memory coming in to view, is

awesome.

Maybe every now and then, we can think of a favorite

convert we went and post it here for everyone else

to enjoy.  And as Tommy James said,  "I just wanna

play the music".     Don't we all..............................

PEACE

I am glad that you are sharing your stories here.  Thank you   Love the music!

I always enjoyed going to concerts when I was younger. These days, traffic, parking, crowds . . . not so much. But I still enjoy seeing a good show that was taped 'live' on TV. What I really like to do is just put on some music and dance (when no one else is around). And sometimes I sing right along, too (so long as no one can hear me)!!

A good song always lifts the spirit, and gets me energized! Rock on!!

Short Note:

Just talking about TV Jingles,  Here are just a few

floating in my head.  But this is different.  First the

real song.  eg.

"I would like to teach the world to sing"   By  The New

Seekers.  But when you listen to it.  don't you just

want a nice cold  Coca Cola..

And we can't forget Carly Simons hit, "Anticipation"

Now you got to get the Heinz Ketchup for your

"cheesburger"    (in paradise).  I just thought about

Jimmy Buffett.  Strange how the mind works.

That's all for now (Wow,that was a short note by me)

:-)

@rc8149  I know, right? Who knew I was memorizing old TV jingles and apparently every song I ever heard? This is especially wild considering that I have to be very methodical with putting away things like sunglasses and keys in order to remember where they are. Smiley Happy

@rc8149  No worries. I have the same issue. I can proofread twice, but some things I'll only see after it's posted.
