A 1969 Plymouth Fury I.  It was a copper color and almost matched my copper-colored hair.  It was huge inside.  I drove it for two years, then my sister took it without my permission and totalled it.

My first car was a 1966 Ford Mustang. Beautiful car which I bought used in March 1968 and paid $1,595 for. Black with red interior, 289 cubic inch V8 engine, auto trans. This car was my fist love and I wish I still had it. I will someday have a restored version of this car as soon as I am able to find one for the right price.

My first car was a 1973 240Z.  It was my dad's car (six years old when I turned 16).  He turned down my suggestion that he could give it to me and told me I could earn the money and buy it from him.  My parents matched any babysitting money I saved towards the car (starting when I was 13) and by the time I turned 16, I had enough money.

I absolutely LOVED that car and drove it for almost 10 years.  I remember as a teenager driving my friends around in that two-seater -- one in the front seat and two crammed in the hatchback (these were the years before seatbelts were mandatory).

My first car was a Hillman. I've been told that it was an English Ford. Shift on the floor. Afterwards I graduated to a VW Bug -- which had the new "Syncromesh" shifting -- which made me feel like a (slow) race car driver. When the new Eisenhower freeways were created, it took about 3 long rolling hills to completely pass the semi-trucks on the road! The good ol' days.
