Re: If you could bring back one trend from the 60s and 70s,, what would it be?

You and your "friends" definitely need to agree on no cell service during get togethers! I now only go meet up with friends and family who agree cell off except emergency notifications for parents of young children.

If you're my age (62) you don't need to learn of emergency while out and about anyway, as you may lose common sense and have a wreck.

Think it through; if you can't spend 60 minutes away from your phone then why spend 60 minutes (= maybe 11 minutes interacting total) with friend or family and pay $200 for that meal no one really enjoyed due to distractions.

So, please don't get mad at me but there was a certain pure product I loved back then...

Also, the music, especially, Janis, Jim and Jimmy; truly miss that the most.

Also, trust went sideways sometime mid-70s, I feel; lost trust in everyone and everything; miss that idea of being able to trust...

These discussions are supposed to be fun. Why do some people have to be so negative? Any era had its good and bad elements. What would you bring back, if you could? Probably something good.

Agreed.  And kids were allowed to play or ride bikes with other kids of their choosing and if conflicts arose, they worked them out. No parents or parental selection involved.  My mom called it "benign neglect."

That's what YouTube is for! I just upgraded my PC speakers as I generally listen to music on YouTube while on the PC looking at this, or other, websites.

The pre-helicopter parent era, when children were taught that not everyone gets a trophy; when they were allowed to make mistakes and learn from them; when they were encouraged to make their own decisions; you know, things that actually prepare them to function in the real world.
