O.K. I'll do it again, but this time please pay attention.

As you know President Trump was elected technically as a Republican but in reality he was elected as an outsider.

And by "outsiders" ..... the Russians!

You may be the only person left in the world that thinks that they had any effect on the election outcome.

No ...... Me and 17 U.S. Intelligence Agencies ..... as well as any rational informed person!

He came to Washington to clean up the embedded bureaucracy made up of career pols and career bureaucrats that have formed their own identity separate and apart from the will of the people.

Like the NRA, pharmaceuticals and other lobbyists that Trump caved in to. Looks like Trump's failed promises have clogged up his "drain".

Those groups have been around for a long time. Do you have any indication that they have increased influence now?

Yup .... the NRA being the most blatant ..... lobbying to allow military grade weapons to be purchased by civilians.

What could go wrong with that?  Just turn on the news!!!

Let's not complicate with side issues.

Lest they negate what you'd like to believe.

No - any side issues.

....... That negate what you'd like to believe.

The above defines the "swamp" needing draining that you inquired about.

The "swamp" that Trump continues to fill.

Are you saying that the embedded bureaucracy and career pols are not a problem?

I am saying exactly what I stated.

Maybe you can get someone else to play your silly game. I'm done.

Of course you are.

But actually, you were "done" when you first tried to defend Trump's failure to "drain the swamp".

And ignoring facts that get in the way of what you would like to believe is the "silly game" that is actually being played.

The problem with the term "Drain the Swamp" is that each person seems to use their own definition. Pretty standard for conservative publications is to use a phrase and not define it. We have all seen the words "Socialist" and "Marxist" used over and over without bothering to define what they mean.

Surely you jest. I started three different topics so that we could discuss Marxism from it's origins to today. There was so little depth of interest that it sunk to the level of being scrubbed as no more than insults. We even had one great thinker declare that Richard Wolff is a "Bircher". With that kind of interest in the subject it is no wonder people are confused and some offended by the words.

Yes but did you not try to tie the word "Marxist" with progressive?  That is a completely incorrect assumption to start.

Yes I did and I showed quite clearly the relationship between the Progressive Movement and the vision of Karl Marx. And, I never attacked either nor the current adherents on these boards and elsewhere.

Still, getting back to the topic, the current head of the Republican party uses DTS in a variety of ways. None of which seem to relate to dealing with corruption, profiteering,or nepotism .

What is DTS?

DTS.. Donald Trump sure can vacuum

O.K. as always, you want to stretch the silliness out. What is the "S" for and what has "vacuum" to do with things.

The "will of the people" doesn't include filling Washington and a presidential administration with $Billionaires$, White Supremacists, the Alt-Right and liars and people who will consort with the Russians in reference to our elections.

Trump has created a Swamp that is far worse than any we have seen and that is representing the will of a small minority of Alt-Right nationalist Americans, not the "will of the people".

If Trump were to truly drain the swamp, he and his administration would be the first ones swirling into the drain ..... followed by the NRA!
