Here's my original post:

In the federal court district of eastern North Carolina, with a 27% black population that has never had a black judge, Trump wants to fill the longest running district court vancncy in country with an attorney who fought for the GOP's effort to disenfranchise black voters in North Carolina with a voter ID law, and racial gerrymandering. Both of those laws passed by the Republican dominated General Assembly were overturned by the US Supreme Court as racially unsound.

rk9152 responded "The above is a disgusting, racist comment. It assumes that while white people a fully capable of taking care on their ID requirements, black people are to stupid to do the same thing."

He did not like the comment, so he changed it to voter ID instead, as if he didn't understand that the post was about president Trump appointing an attorney who handled the Republican defense of their racist legislation.

NOTHAPPENING

you just made my point, having an ID  is something that is common in all our present lives.

So why would it be so difficult to provide an ID at the time of voting?

Let's say, that many Americans in a rural setting don't have the opportunitu becasue of distance or whatever to actually go to a DMV in thier local city and get an ID. because it would cost money, and they don't want to spend it. in getting a birth certificate that always costs money.
I can see the reluctance of those things happening, frankly in all races. you simply have to be poor.
Latinos and African Americans are not the only ones that lack money.
So. what to do.
First of all, whenever any of those people register for a party, and you do need to register for a party in order to vote.  At that time, be able to  offer assistance to obtain an ID  card if they don't have one.
I cannot see as to why the political parties cannot assist their registered voters in any of this.
To simplify the issue that this only affects minorities is really an exageration. I you are saying that there are mone poor people if you are an African American or a Latino, you could be correct, but, there are also many white Americans in rural communities that also lack ID's
Again, the amount of foreigners in this country is staggering. and because there is no follow up regarding their status in this country, I would actually do this mostly because a matter of integrity than a matter or curtailing voters of any kind.

Really??? That's all ya got??? Is it acceptable to you to assume that a black is not capable of doing the same as a white person in securing a voter ID? Sounds a bit racist it me.

As predictable as the sun rising in the East.

Bogus, too.

How so?

Trump supporters can be identified by their futile denial of, transparent misinterpretation of, and apologetics for trump's racism.

How is that related to the theory that requiring voter IDs is inherently racist??

Trump lies - his supporters lie.

That trump family tradition has spread to his followers and supporters - just as everything having anything to do with republicans/conservatives and trump supporters is a mark of trump/Putin people...

The above is a disgusting, racist comment. It assumes that while white people a fully capable of taking care on their ID requirements, black people are to stupid to do the same thing.

Isn't it time to start thinking about "Americans", not dividing us up into various "victim" groups in need of special treatment due to their assumed lack of abilities?

@rk9152,

It's time to talk about THE REAL TRUTH again.

What you term a racist comment above by @Albion61 is anything but one.

If you used your same flawed analysis, you would also say that the VOTING RIGHTS ACT of 1965 was also racist and thus, the Legislative and Executive Branches of the Federal Government were racist.

If you used your same flawed analysis, you would say that the overturning of the ID Law was also racist and thus, the SUPREME COURT was racist.

In fact, any positive ground that the Civil Rights Movement ever accomplished would be racist, using your flawed analysis.

The analysis you use is the same type analysis used by organizations such as the KKK and American Renaissance.

So, let's use the REAL TRUTH..... the Republicans in NC (and I live here) tried to place as many roadblocks to Black voters as they possibly could in order to reduce the power of the Black vote. They hired an attorney to defend them in this endeavor. That is the same attorney that THE PORCINE PRESIDENT is nominating for judgeship. It is obvious to most that if anyone is racist in this scenario; it is the PORCINE PRESIDENT.

If you feel that you must twist the REAL TRUTH to reflect the opposite, you are welcome to do so; however, be aware that an opinion in that direction puts your opinion in line with the opinions of the two organizations named above, The KKK and The American Renaissance.

Despite all the words, the bottom line is that assuming a black does not have the same abilities as a white to acquire a voter ID is offensively racist.

Silliness about "PORCINE PRESIDENT" does not change that basic reality.

Doesn't change the fact that trump is a racist.

Most on the radical left consider the requirement to show id when cashing a check is racist. Also so when visiting a doctor.  Also when applying for a credit card, or getting a drivers license, or purchasing a gun, or buying alcohol, or buying cigarettes, or when first establishing a pharmacy relationship, or buying a home, or a car, or registering at a college, or many more things.

Oh that's right, the left doesn't consider ANY of those things racist EXCEPT when voting - asking for proof of id when voting is racist to the radical left.  Most things (to the left) are racist, even equal opportunity.

I have never had to show a 'check cashing ID', a 'credit card ID', a 'driver's license ID', a 'gun purchasing ID', a buying alcohol ID, a 'buying cigarettes ID, a 'pharmacy ID', a 'home buying ID',  or a 'registering for college ID'.  Just a generic ID has served the purpose for anything requiring one, including voting.

Would "blind hatred" make someone think that everyone on the left thinks the same thing?

Boy, you've lead a sheltered life.  Try opening a new bank account and YOU will be asked for id.  You must get out of the house soon!
