Cent says "You're right, MaVolta.  Only a fool would think it's acceptable for an American campaign to collude with the Russians in a U.S. election.  It's laughable these folks think they're patriots. Real patriots would stand up against this outrageous behavior and Christians wouldn't tolerate the lying, would they?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It bears repeating - Where are the Christians regarding the Trump's lies ? Where are the right wing Patriots , while the Trump's have been sleeping with Communist Russia ?

The same right wingers who held President Obama to the highest standard , have taken the bar down for President Trump !!!

Exactly!

The sanctions levied on Russia during the Obama Administration were taking a toll on the Russian economy. Now we all know that Clinton was set to be 'Obama's 3rd term' but more than likely would have taken a much harder line against Russia, and possibly more sanctions.

Putin and the Russian government knew that Trump would be the candidate most likely to lift the sanctions in order to expand US business interests in Russia. We already know that several in the Trump campaign, as well as the Trump organization, had business dealings in Russia prior to the campaign, and possibly since. They really didn't have to collude with anyone, it was just a given. Trump was their guy!

Cent--Just read several of your posts in this thread--two comments--

1.) true patriots who believe in racial equality, the rule of law, the notion that this country takes care of its own, and TRUE Christian beliefs do not support trump.

2.) There are many idiots out there who still, after repeatedly and stupidly propagating his lies, continue their support of trump after the truth comes out.

Of course, we shouldn't be surprised--no one with a clear understanding of trump's communist and racist agenda put this fool in the WH. Those who knew and understood what Putin's puppet was up to are traitors to this country, as is the idiot in chief, and will continue supporting his communist agenda.

Gee, I miss having a real President!!

Is anybody home?  UNREAL.

Magnitsky Act = sanctions against Russia.  Yep, she was here to address sanctions against Russia....just as Flynn did with the Russians.  No wonder Russia's government wanted trump to win And of course trump suggests otherwise.  Hmmmm, sure smells like a rat.

But in an interview with NBC News earlier this week, Veselnitskaya acknowledged her contacts with Donald Trump Jr. and in Washington were part of a lobbying campaign to get members of Congress and American political figures to see "the real circumstances behind the Magnitsky Act.”

That work was a far cry from the narrow reason the U.S. government initially gave for allowing Veselnitskaya into the U.S. in late 2015, according to federal court records.

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City.

During a court hearing in early January 2016 as Veselnitskaya’s permission to stay in the country was about to expire, federal prosecutors described how rare the grant of parole immigration was as Veselnitskaya pleaded for more time to remain in the United States.

“In October the government bypassed
the normal visa process and gave a type of extraordinary
permission to enter the country called immigration parole,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Monteleoni explained to the judge during a hearing Jan. 6, 2016.

“That's a discretionary act that the statute allows the Attorney
General to do in extraordinary circumstances. In this case, we
did that so that Mr. Katsyv could testify. And we made the
further accommodation of allowing his Russian lawyer into the
country to assist,” he added.

The prosecutor said Justice was willing to allow the Russian lawyer to enter the United States again as the trial in the case approached so she could help prepare and attend the proceedings.

The court record indicates the presiding judge asked the Justice Department to extend Veselnitskaya’s immigration parole another week until he decided motions in the case. There are no other records in the court file indicating what happened with that request or how Veselnitskaya appeared in the country later that spring.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in New York confirmed Wednesday to The Hill that it let Veselnitskaya into the country on a grant of immigration parole from October 2015 to early January 2016.

Justice Department and State Department officials could not immediately explain how the Russian lawyer was still in the country in June for the meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and the events in Washington D.C.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has demanded the U.S. government provide him all records on how Veselnitskaya entered and traveled in the U.S., a request that could shed additional light on her activities.

Collusion?  Everybody seems to be interested in collusion.  Well here is an example of real collusion that no one seems to want to talk about.

Time to hear from Loretta Lynch.

Being ignorant of the game of politics currently being played in DC and on "The House of Cards" is not illegal.  But the Dems are doing a great job of illustrating their current plan/strategy:  "Be against Trump"

The democrats have no plan, no new ideas, no leadership and still have no clue what the American voter wants from their government.

My message to Don Jr....  You are guilty of being politically ignorant.  I don't have a problem with it, in fact I am happy that you guys are NOT POLITICIANS!   Please don't let the DC machine turn you into politicians.  We already have the best politicians money can buy.  Since you guys have plenty of money just tell the swamp to pound sand!!  Move our agenda forward and ignore the radicals on the left!

This has nothing to do with the D's or strategy. There are a number of sensible R's in Congress who want to get to the bottom of this investigation. Go where it will and let the chips fall. The ones with the most to lose are going to be the first to squeal. Some of the toughest gangsters have caved and turned on their own, at a greater risk, when faced with consequences. It will be no different with this bunch. Aren't you at least curious who leaked Junior's email? It was only known to a very few WH insiders, and of course, the Russians.

@Centristsin2010 - This is beginning to look more like an "every-man-for-himself" situation, wouldn't you think?

I watched the first segment of The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell last night. He pointed out that Trump Jr. is probably not so much in trouble for this, but Jared Kushner is a different story. Why? Because Kushner applied for top level security clearance, and now twice, has had to file an amendment for omitted meetings, with the only plausible explanation being that 'he forgot'. Kushner doesn't strike me as someone with a poor memory. But apparently unknown to Kushner and Trump Jr., Manafort had already acknowledged the meeting. It doesn't matter whether or not they received any beneficial information. The point is the failure to disclose when he (Kushner) applied for the security clearance.

Kushner is now in the same hot water as Flynn. We already know that Flynn's lawyer asked to make a deal; don't know if he got one, but he's had nothing to say since, and seems to be cooperating with authorities. So will Kushner's lawyer try to make a deal also?

These are self-centered, egocentric people who look out for themselves first. When the going gets tough, they will not hesitate to throw someone under the bus to save their own skin. IMO, of course.

I agree MaVolta....watch Trump throw others, even his son under the bus.  Only an idiot would think trump didn't know about the meeting and you can already see, they think American's are idiots.  Now more evidence is coming out with video's showing trump senior with several of the Russians involved in the meeting, including the attorney who has a long history of fighting the US sanctions against Russia:

Russian lawyer who met with Trump Jr. has long history fighting sanctions

trump plays Americans as fools, most aren't.
