So how close does throwing the people and their salaries in 63 stores out of work, serve to offset a $1 raise?

Of course in most cases those employed in stores that are closed has been offered employment in others.  And again a thread degenerates into political philosophy.  But along those lines is more of the liberal socialist philosopy where a business is supposed to be a charitable social service agency.

Where is the complaints about retail chains like Sears, KMart, etc closing stores and leaving employees without jobs?

Of course since it's outside the democratic socialist philosophy for a business to be a profitable enterprise.  You still haven't explained why it is wrong for Walmart to pass on tax savings to employees thus putting these savings into the economy.

Of course you are now dismissive since you can't answer why you think this is wrong.

So how close does throwing the people and their salaries in 63 stores out of work, serve to offset a $1 raise? If it's pretty close to neutral, then it obviously doesn't have a thing to do with the Trump tax scam, but it sure makes a good headline for the Walton's fellow billionaire pal.

And as I stated on another thread, there was an article in the paper here last week about how Walmart is the worst employer in the state of Ohio, for having the highest number of employees that still need and qualify for state assistance to make ends meet.

Walmart has a long way to go before they earn a spot on the dashboard of my car.

Nothing is wrong with raising wages.  Walmat is the largest employer in the United States, makes huge profits, and should have raised wages (and bumped all employees up to full time with benefits) years ago. Instead, they waited until it was all financed by your tax dollars.

Isn't all wages financed by tax dollars [deductions for business expenses]?  No doubt you take the authorized deductions when you file your income tax returns.

Are you saying that Walmart, and other corporations, are wrong for passing on the tax savings to employees?  Thus putting those savings into the consumer economy, resulting in more tax income on the local and federal level?

Further you are saying that Walmart [and other businesses] should operate as if they were charities.  More of the communistic socialist philosophy from the Amen Corner.
