Impressive credentials.  'The donald' has a history of 'settling on the courthouse steps'.  I dunno about Stone.  I've always kinda thought that was a practice bound to encourage abuse, you know....allows for extortion on the part of the plaintiff and also allows a defendent with massive resources to bleed a less well endowed plaintiff dry.  It has to start somewhere...this accountability thing...and it probably should end up in the Supreme Court, even if it is conservative right now.  Do you know if there is a fund set up to meet the inevitable costs or is PD going it alone?

What is United to Protect Democracy?

United to Protect Democracy is a nonpartisan nonprofit with an urgent goal: to hold the President and the Executive Branch accountable to the laws and longstanding practices that have protected our democracy through both Democratic and Republican Administrations. We have seen an unprecedented tide of authoritarian-style politics sweep the country that is fundamentally at odds with the Bill of Rights, the constitutional limitations on the role of the President, and the laws and unwritten norms that prevent overreach and abuse of power. The only limits to prevent a slide away from our democratic traditions will be those that are imposed by the Courts, Congress, and the American people.

1. This Lawsuit was Filed by Private Citizens who claim as a result of the DNC hack by the Russians and the release by Wikileaks AND THE TRUMP CAMPAIGNS COLLUSION IN THE PROCESS...........................

2. As the complaint lays out, after Russian hackers stole their emails, their private information was published to the world as part of a calculated political strategy in which the Trump campaign played a central role.

3. The result was a gross violation of their privacy in violation of District of Columbia law, with their social security numbers, medical information and details of their private lives made permanently public in ways that hurt them all deeply, as it would have any reasonable person.

4. Additionally, conspiring to injure Americans because of their participation in a Presidential election is a violation of federal civil rights law.  No American should fear that the consequence of participating in our democracy is that their identity would be stolen or their personal, private information plastered on the Internet for all to see.
