More folks would be hitting the bars and drinking excessively during the nite, than during the day.  The likelihood of stumbling(while drunk) and scrapping the hands and knees increases in direct proportion to the amount of booze consumed.  Hence - more nite time injuries.    Smiley Wink

I don't know what to make of this. For one thing I don't tend to get injured at night, so have no personal benchmark. But also, since the body is busily repairing itself while we sleep, this seems like one of those studies the findings of which will be overturned next week.

 

For those night time injuries, perhaps we will find that persons who get injured at night live a riskier lifestyle and that maybe has more to do with healing than time of day? Wild guess there.
