Do you take baby aspirin daily?

There are several reasons that people are told to take baby aspirin every day, do you take it?  Why?

Yes! My internist advised me to start taking baby aspirin when I turned 50. At age 58 I developed a severe A-fib. The internest told me the aspirin saved my life. So the the heart specialist and the specialist that repaired my heart with an oblation. During my episode with A-fib I had spells with no blood movement as long as 5 seconds. They said this could have coagulated and caused my early death. Thank you doctors for advising this. I am now 77 with no A-fib for all these years since age 58.

I was advised by my wonderful Cardiologist to take a low-dose coated aspirin before I go to sleep to help keep my blood flowing.  I had 2 heart attacks in 2010 with 2 stents, but edhave been healthy ever since, except for the fact that my knees were destroyed by the statins originally prescribed.  I currently take a bi-weekly injectable med that lowers my cholesterol in other ways.  Sorry to get off the subject but heart healthy issues are important!  Thank you.

Yes, for many years. I took 2 for a long time because years ago I had 2 blood clots go to my lungs, and after I got off the rx med, I was moved to low-dose aspirin.

YES; since 1990 when I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse.  This is to prevent the build-up of sticky platelets on the rim of the valve which could break off and cause a mini-stroke or blockage elsewhere.  I've had no problems with "bleeding".

It's highly unlikely that 1 low-dose aspirin a day is going to cause internal bleeding in anybody who doesn't have a stomach ulcer or some such medical ailment. It simply isn-t enough to do that to a HEALTHY person. You should still have your doctor's approval, but she would, in all probability, give the OK, assuming you have no medical issues.

Yes and have since 2007 after I had to have a pacemaker. Dr. recommended.

Still in 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have mastectomy.

So much for that theory.

No Way.
Side effects of aspirin include allergy, general bleeding risk, upper gastrointestinal or stomach irritation and bleeding, and stroke-related bleeding into the brain.

I take Vitamin C and Vitamin B3(Niacin).
I follow the latest research by Dr. Matthias Rath, and these 2 vitamins do everything we need and more, instead of aspirin.

Is it safe to take aspirin daily? I know it helps to overcome many health issues but it has many other side effects.
One of my friends who had been taking aspirin daily suffers from hearing loss. He had consulted a licensed audiologist in Toronto and got hearing aids. The audiologist advised him to stop taking aspirin daily as it is the cause of his hearing loss.

Yes, except for some conditions such as Gerds. We're talking 'baby aspirin'. From your article:

"...Aspirin, when large doses (8 to 12 pills a day) are taken....".

No one condones taking this kind of dosage.

I take a baby aspirin. Doc says he has everyone over 60, even in good health, as a preventative. And yes, you have to be sure you can tolerate the aspirin. I know, it's controversial and not all docs will recommend aspirin if you otherwise, don't have risks for heart attack or stroke.
