On March 20, 2024 Frontier.com transferred their webmail services to Yahoo.com. Although notice was given to their customers, they were unclear to many older users with limited computer skills.
As a result many people have been unable to access their old @frontier.com mail (over 4 weeks now).
Frontier says they can't help since it was all turned over to Yahoo.
When they follow the instructions given by Frontier to login as usual (username@frontier.com) and use their usual password, they get an error message "unable to sign in, username/pwd don't match.
They can create a new account with no problem but are unable to regain all their old (and mounting new) messages.
To talk to a real person at Yahoo they have to pay for Yahoo's Premium Help ($50).
The instructions from Yahoo only manage to set up another webmail account with no ties to the old Frontier account.
Has anyone been able to get through this maze and successfully recover their Frontier account?
