The Parkinson’s Foundation in partnership with AARP, is launching their 2nd free webinar in a partnership series. The topic is Falls Prevention and Living Safely at Home, scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 1-2pm ET.

As you age, staying safe in your home becomes more and more important, whether you have Parkinson’s disease (PD) or not. One-third of people over 65 have a fall each year and the risk of falling increases as people age. People with PD experience an additional set of unique challenges particularly as Parkinson’s symptoms change over time and can increase your risk of falling.

During this webinar, learn the best ways to manage and prevent falls in your home including lots of practical tips and tricks- important for Care partners and people living with PD. Learn about AARP’s recently-revised HomeFit Guide with many ways to make your home safer, smarter and a better fit for all.
